Healing is something I have always believed in as part of who Christ is (so much of his ministry while on earth had to do with healing) but until all of this with Riley I have never really explored that area of my faith. I have learned alot over the past few months and I believe very strongly in God's ability to heal Riley. I firmly believe in His ability to heal her - but I am very aware that His ways and plans are much higher than my own and I do not pretend to know what He will do in her life. With that being said, I also believe very firmly in the power of persistently praying God's Word. James 5:15-16 says, "And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." Isaiah 55:11 says, "The Word of God will accomplish what is was sent out to do." Proverbs 4:22 says, "For they (His Words) are life to those that find them and health unto all their flesh." The Hebrew word for “health” in verse 22 is “medicine.” And just as I would not deny Riley any medical treatment needed to help her, I will not deny her any intercession and prayer that I can do on her behalf to help her as well. Psalm 30:2 says, "I cry out to the Lord and He heals me." - so that is what I have done, almost everyday for months now I have prayed these verse (out loud) over Riley. "I always pray, I don't faint, quit or give up." (Luke 18:1). Regardless of what I am feeling that day this is my little act of faith, obedience, and confidence in God because I know "He hears the prayer of the righteous" (Proverbs 15:29).
The bible also says, "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven." (Matt 18:19) So . . . "Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." (Hebrews 4:16) Here are the verses that fill my prayers - so that you can use them in praying for Riley if you like, or for anyone you know who needs healing`. . . .
"I shall not die but live, and shall declare the works and recount the illustrious acts of the Lord." -Psalm 118:17
"Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits - who forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases." -Psalm 103:2-3
"He sends His word and heals me and rescues me from the pit and destruction." -Psalm 107:20
"My light shall break forth like the morning, and my healing (my restoration and the power of a new life) shall spring forth speedily." -Isaiah 58:8
"Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise." -Jeremiah 17:14
"For I am the Lord that healeth thee." -Exodus 15:26
"I will take sickness away from the midst of thee." -Exodus 23:25
"Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance and my God." -Psalm 42:11
"You who sit down in the High God's presence, spend the night in Shaddai's shadow, Say this: "God, you're my refuge. I trust in you and I'm safe!" He rescues you from hidden traps, shields you from deadly hazards. His huge outstretched arms protect you— under them you're perfectly safe; his arms fend off all harm. Fear nothing—not wild wolves in the night, not flying arrows in the day, Not disease that prowls through the darkness, not disaster that erupts at high noon. Even though others succumb all around, no harm will even graze you. You'll stand untouched, watch it all from a distance. Yes, because God's your refuge, the High God your very own home, Evil can't get close to you, harm can't get through the door. He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you go. If you stumble, they'll catch you; their job is to keep you from falling. You'll walk unharmed among lions and snakes." Psalm 91:1-13
"Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains . . . He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole." -Isaiah 53:3-5
"But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall"-Malachi 4:2
"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed." -1 Peter 2:24
. . . also Philippians 2:13, Mark 16:17-18, John 14:12-14, Acts 3:16, Romans 8:11, Galatians 3:13, and Psalm 28:7-8

Good on 'ya Mama Turner. Our family and staff agree with you - in faith - for all of these mighty promises of God, which are yes and amen, to come to fruition in Baby Riley's sweet young life.
Keep on standing! He is good.
