Riley Update

Sorry it has been so long since we have posted anything . . . it is really hard to blog with Riley at home now. But she is at home and doing great! She has been moving more, gaining weight, and she smiles all the time - which completely melts my heart. Riley loves the outdoors so we lug all of her machines outside with her in her little moses basket so she can enjoy all the beautiful weather we have been having. Her big brother, Ayden, is the most amazing kid ever and has been great with her at home. He gives her a check up almost every day with his pretend doctors kit and he knows all the buttons to push on her feeding pump so he helps give her most of her meals. Also, he LOVES to hold her and just strokes her hair and tells her how much her loves her all the time - which makes Josh and I cry all the time :) But the most amazing thing about Ayden is that while talking to him about the reality of what is going on with Riley and what might happen, he completely got it - not only has he stepped up as big brother to help us take care of her but he also asked Josh to help him ask Jesus into his heart so that he could eventually go to heaven too! Riley helped bring her brother to Christ!!!!!! I am in awe of the amazing kids that I have and feel so blessed and privileged to mother them.

We took Riley to church this past Sunday to have her dedicated and it was the best mothers day present ever! It was so special to do a public act of what my prayers have been - holding her with an open hand before God knowing that she is His and that her life (and ours) are completely dedicated to Him. It was amazing to hold her at the alter with our family, friends, and church family there to pray for her. We are so blessed to be a part of such an incredible church - and because I am so in love with God's House (with the family and anointing of Celebration Church especially) it felt so good just to have her inside the walls of the church.

Thank you all for all of your love, support, & prayers and I promise I will try to blog more often so I don't have to try to cram a months worth of stuff into just a few sentences. ;)

Love,
Becca

Hi Turner Family,

Glad to hear Riley is doing well and the family is settling in home.

Ayden is so cute playing doctor. Katelyn sends kisses for Riley and Ayden.

Our family would like to send the kids a care package if you wouldn't mind. We remember what it was like to bring our Rylee home almost four years ago. God blessed our oldest daughter, Ryann, with such wisdom and compassion-just like your Ayden. While we don't know you personally, we've followed your story and steadfast faith in the Lord and feel blessed to pray for each of you daily. If it's okay and you don't mind, would you mind to send me your address via my email. Thank you for your time and for sharing your heart and God's love through your family.
