They took Riley off of the CPAP last night and put her on a high flow nasal cannula which she has been doing well with so far (the nasal cannula is less breathing assistance than the CPAP). She is doing well and hopefully will be able to stay off the CPAP this time. This is the 3rd time they have tried to ween her off the CPAP - so hopefully the 3rd time is the charm. Today we are still praying that she will be able to learn to protect her airway and we are also praying for her breathing - that she will be able to tolerate the high flow nasal cannula this time.
